Privacy Policy

Khorchapati (“we”, “our”, “us”) is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what data we collect, why we collect it, and how we use and protect it.

1. Data we collect

• Account data: mobile number, email (optional), name, and password hash.
• Financial data: transaction amounts, categories, account balances, and notes you enter.
• Device data: device type, OS version, and app version for bug reports.
• Usage data: which features you use and when, to improve the product.

We do not connect to your bank or mobile money accounts. All financial data is entered by you manually.

2. How we use your data

• To provide and improve the Khorchapati service.
• To send you important account and security notifications.
• To power AI insights and budget recommendations within your account.
• To diagnose and fix technical issues.

We do not sell your data. We do not show you ads. We do not share your financial data with third parties.

3. Data storage and security

Your data is stored on servers located in Frankfurt, Germany (Akamai / Linode). All data is encrypted in transit (TLS 1.3) and at rest (AES-256). We use bcrypt to hash passwords and never store them in plain text.

4. Data retention

We keep your data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, your data is permanently erased within 30 days from our servers and backups.

5. Your rights

• Access: You can export all your data from Profile > Settings > Export data.
• Correction: You can edit or delete any record from within the app at any time.
• Deletion: You can delete your account and all associated data from Profile > Settings > Delete account.
• Portability: Export your data in CSV format at any time.

6. Cookies

The web app uses a single authentication cookie to keep you logged in. We do not use tracking or advertising cookies of any kind.

7. Children's privacy

Khorchapati is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 13.

8. Changes to this policy

We will notify you of material changes via the app or email at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use of the service constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
